What you need to know (and not what you don't) to manage an emergency with your little one
Service Description
At Beyond Training, our specially designed paediatric first aid course, First Aid for Families, empowers caregivers with confidence and essential life-saving skills for infants and young children. Learn to handle emergencies, from unresponsive children and CPR techniques to addressing choking, head injuries, seizures, and minor injuries. Additionally, we cover allergen introduction and safe food preparation for weaning, what to do when your the tiny humans swallow things they shouldn't (or put objects anywhere else they shouldn't)! Wounds and bleeding, burns, exposure illnesses, meningitis and septicaemia... ensuring you are well-equipped to keep your little ones safe and sound. All of our First Aid for Families courses include practical elements, and as well as the topics listed above, we provide you with proven tools to assess and prioritise injuries and illnesses. We choose our venues very carefully to ensure that you can bring your little ones if needed. You also have the option to make a group booking in your own home (providing adequate space is available and minimum numbers will apply). If this is something you are interested in, message us to discuss! Our full day course is for anyone who would like to get it done and dusted in one go! You are still welcome to bring little ones along, but this can be a big deal for them, so this option is best suited for those with young babies, expectant parents, or other caregivers (eg. grandparents). For those with older babies and toddlers, our blended course or a group booking at home may be the best option. We want to remove as many barriers as we can to enable people to learn these all important skills. Join us in creating a safer environment for your family!
